I was cycling yesterday. Now there’s a news flash!
While that isn’t all that unusual, the thought process while I was out there was disrupting. While I was sticking to the side of the highway to the best of my ability, cars flew by. There are many cyclists on the roads these days and as the population and popularity of the area increases, there will be more.
My thoughts went to safety.
Interestingly, safety on my bike wasn’t the issue. There are a lot of safety concerns in the world. Far too many for my liking; safety of women and children in their own homes, safety of being able to walk along the street without being accosted, safety of person, safety of expression, safety of livelihood, etc. The list goes on ad nauseum.
When my safety is in question, I withdraw. It can happen so fast that those around wonder what the hell happened. I can disappear with the best of them. In fact, there is a plan in place where I slip into the fog of daily life never to return. It’s not only plausible, it’s quite possible. There are ways to live amongst other people and never be noticed. All one need do is flick an energy switch.
I’m a master.
It seems that there have been issues with some of my writing. Perhaps society isn’t developed enough to have openness thrust into their sleepy-eyed, Mega Tan faces. I know I wasn’t ready for some of what came back.
With this in mind, my blog will be going into lock-down. Indeed, it may well disappear.
While attacking me isn’t all that horrendous (I’m a big boy and know what it’s all about), if it turned on folks I know, I would be devastated. As of June first, the blog will only be read by people registered. We’ll see how it goes from there. Most of my writing will likely pass into a forum where there are security measures.
Tightening the security belt is not what I wish to do. It’s unfortunate that the society we live in requires us to cover our asses before someone decides to use information for their benefit.
If you wish to continue to read my blog, by all means do so. Unfortunately, you will have to register on the site to do so.
The Magi never disappear into a puff of smoke.
They simply evaporate into the mystic.
